DOMINION BOWLING COUNCIL

WELLINGTON, Jan. !>. The Dominion Bowling 'Council met to-night. A letter from the Dominion Lawn Bow Hug Association of Canada was received, stating that owing to the short time it was not possible to accept" the invitation of the Dominion Council to visit New Zealand tins season, but if convenient it. was hoped it would he possible to accept the lour for 1980 or 1981. It was agreed to ask the Canadian Association to accept tin? invitation for the time which suited them. Air J. Scott, speaking as the representative of the Australian Bowling Association, said that- when coming over to New Zealand he was against the two-life system, but since playing under the system he thought it a good idea. Ho intended to recommend it when he returned, and also to advise the clubs to adopt the method lor the championships. (Appla-u.se). He thought it would make the compel itions more interesting.

It wtis decided to recommend that the next tests he played on the occasion of the Australian bowling carnival in 1.982.
