AFGHAN REBELLION

Tribal revolts in eastern Alglianistan appear to have ended, hut serious lighting is reported between Afghan troops and rebels under Ihiltchasakao, ten miles north of Kabul. Details aie lacking, hut it is believed Uie latter gained the advantage. Shinwaris, the principal rebel tribe, sent their leaders to Kabul to draw up peace terms, and are holding Jalalabad city as a hostage for their safe return. During operations against the rebels an Afghan plane crashed in flames. A Russian pilot and another Russian were killed.
