A Peshawar report states the Sliinwari revolt was quelled. Large sums were distributed among Mohmamls, influential tribes in Eastern Alglmnistan, in an attempt to win them over t/o the government side. Mohmand and Khugiani tribesmen sided with the King in the recent tribal gathering and have now returned home to .Jalalabad under control ol Sardar Ahmadali. cx-Govornor of Kabul, who it is rumoured has been declared King ol Eastern Afghanistan. The road Irom Peshawar to Kabul will be opened shortly, and traffic has been lesumed between .Jalalabad and Peshawai.
