The Rodion School excursion lakes place to Hokitika on Wednesday, February Rllli. A grand ball will ho held in the llarihari Hall on Wednesday next jn aid of the Country Queen, Miss Josio O’Neil. The death took place at Westland Hospital this morning of Joe Sung. Deceased was 77 years of age, a native of China, and had resided in this district for mail}' years. Tlio funeral of the late Mr Ceorge Hatch took place yesterday afternoon, and was attended by a large number of friends. The services at All Saints Church and the graveside were conducted by Mr Ward.
