HOKITIKA BOWLING CLUB
A meeting of the. Committee was held in’the pavilion last evening at 7 o’clock. Present: Messrs W. Wilson (President),, Breeze, Stevenson, J. Wilson, Braddon, Bruce, KnowlesSniith,’Lakin and Benjamin. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. From P. R. Stewart, Hamilton, conveying seasonal greetings.—Received with appreciation. ■ From James Ring (Chairman of Centre) notifying suggestion by Christchurch Centre for inter-Centro match-es,-homo and home each year.—Received and suggestion favourably commented on, the Club proposing to fall in with any suggestion agreed to by the Centre. From Public Trustee in reference to a debenture.—Received; the Secretary was authorised to reply. From Secretary, Sumner Bonding Club notifying a team of four players proposed taking part in the excursion to Hokitika on the 19tli inst., and asking for a game that afternoon.— Received and accepted with pleasure. Mr 0. J. Sanders was nominated for membership and duly elected. TOURNAMENT. A discussion took place in regard to teams for the approaching tournament and ultimately it was resolved to ask all players available to hand in their names for rink play by Saturday evening next the Selection Committee to then make the selection. For the pairs, members are to nominate their own pairs. It was arranged that a meeting of lady supporters, be called at a later date for the purpose of arranging for the supply of refreshments for the tournament. The Committee concluded at 8.1 /> p.m.
