SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association). REEFTON, Jan. 8. The totalise tor showed a decrease on the investments for the day, the figures being £7,501, conrpared with £8,396 for the concluding day last year. The total for the meeting was £15,009, as against £15,235 10s last year. Tho gate receipts for tho meeting showing a falling off of £6O.

President’s Handicap: —(6) Fairy Tidings 1, (5) Smithereens 2, (1) Pangolin 3. Also started: Moorland, Inoe, Double Mint. Won by half a head. Pangolin fell after passing the post and the rider, J. Campbell) was injured. Time 1.42 3-5. In the President’s Handicap when Pangolin had gone about six yards past the post, J. Campbell, the rider, became unseated, and fell to the ground, and Pangolin fell also, appearing as lie did so to place his right foreleg on Campbell’s chest. Campbell was rendered unconscious and was carried off on a strctchor to the first aid room, where be was examined by the surgeons, but no serious injuries were discovered. An enquiry was later held by the stewards, it being finally decided that Pangolin be placid third, and no further action be taken. Cronadun Handicap.—(s) Lord Middleton 1, (1) Oriflamb 2, (4) Rina Malign 3. Won by four lengths; two lengths. Time 1.30.

Broadway Trot—(s) Mona Logan 1, (2) Great Author 2, (6) Lady Bee 3. Won by a neck; half a length. Time 3.31 3-5.

Inangahua Handicap.—(s) Star Stranger II 1. (0) Simplest 2, (4) Spode 3. Won by a length; tluee lengths. Time 1.22. Farewell Handicap.—(2) Moorland 1, (1) Karitane 2, (3) Double Mint 3. Won by a head; three lengths. Time 1.29 3-5.
