'flu* crew of the yacht say then spent four days at Norfolk Island and after re-provisioning the vessel and taking in fresh wafer and fruit, a start was made on the the retrrn trip at 2 a.m last Tuesday alter the crew had attended the New Year’s hall arranged b v the residents of the island. The New Zealand coast was made without, difficulty, although dead calms were experienced during the first 300 miles. .Progress was consequently slow. Light head winds thin added to the crew's problems, it being necessary to beat against them in a. series-of tacks during the remainder of the distance to W’hangaron. The return journey occupied five and a half days, compared with four days taken on the outward trip, and so calm was the weather that the decks of tho vessel were never wet.
