KING’S HEALTH
A MOKE HOPEFUL ATR. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).
4 * LONDON, Jan. 7. Although the night bulletin tlocs not report to a definite improvement, it is regarded as satisfactory. There is reason to believe that the King is still on the up-grade. The fact that only one bulletin will be issued to-morrow seems to indicate that the doctors are satisfied that no great change is likej ly in the next twenty-four hours. * Only Sir F. S. Hewett and Lord Dawson attended at the Palace today. The rays were not applied. This is another satisfactory sign. There is a distinctly more hopeful air at the Palace to-night, and the Dukes of York and Gloucester have left for shooting at Sandringham. KING ON UP-GRADE. (Received this day at 9. a.in.) Although the bulletin reports no change and no improvement since Sunday, it is auhoritatively learned that the King’s condition is satisfactory, li.roughout the day a feeling of hopefulness continued at the Palace. It must be remembered that the progress is such that it cannot satisfactorily be measured daily. It should be measured rather week by week. The fact that there is only one bulletin daily is another good sign, Drs Hewitt and -Woods applied rays to-night.
