Mystery continues to .surround the whereabouts of General Booth, though it appears (hat he left his home for Soul hwold. The headquarters of (lie Army officially announce that there is no likelihood that the General will resign before the mooting of the High Council. He does not admit the charges that lie is not fit to carry on the duties of head of the Army. It is not probable the General will attend the Council, hut, lie is a man of iron will, and it is just possible that he will make an effort. Well informed circles are of the opinion that if the Council decides that the General is unlit, his most likely successor is v e ,imniissioner Higgins, or Commissioner David Lamb, Director of A 1 ignition. A prominent official said a week ago that he thought the American Eva Booth, would sweep the board. Since then opinion has changed, and there lias been a hardening of feeling nt favour of a British candidate.
