FURTHER DISASTERS CAUSED. ( (Australian Pi ass Association). ■1 (United Service). \J . (Received this day at 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 8 Bush fires have now spread to the vicinity of Lithgow. Late last nighttne town was rung with flames. The whole mountain side near the site of tne mine and power house was burned out. By working throughout the night employees managed to save the establishment. Thousands of acres of land and miles of fencing have liecn destroyed. It is feared if the wind increases the results will he disastrous. 'W Fires are threatening other parts of */lic district.
