RADIO POSSIBILITIES

Hie latest application of wireless waves is to the sterilisation of milk. The ‘‘Daily News” radio wiiter says a Vienna Professor, Siedal, has discovered that warm milk submitted to high frequency oscillation will remain fresh for a- month. Wireless high frequency currents arc already used successfully in the steel industry for smelting purposes, and also in the medical profession for cauterisation, hut not previously as a sterilizer. Siedel’s discovery opens a new science of “ radio pasteurisation.” R A DIO EXPERIA HUNTS. GENEVA, January 8. The League Secretariat is recommending a now series of technical experiments in February, similar to last year’s radiating of speeches, originating from Geneva, to distant parts, by short wave transmitter. The Dutch Government is placing Katwijk station at the Secretariat’s disposal for one experiment weekly. The first, series will attempt to reach America, second Japan, and the third Australia and New Zealand. Skilled experimenters in these countries will lie informed.
