A NOTABLE WEDDING. !u (United Press Association—By Eledtric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, Jan. 3. There was an atmosphere of secrecy when Lord Hailsham married the widow of Hon. Alfred Lawrence at Westminster Abbey at noon, although the engagement was. well known. Even Lord Hailsham’s servants were unaware of the time and place .of the ceremony. The police guarded the doors after the entry of the bridal party and excluded unauthorised persons. The bride is aged 35. MURDER CHARGE. AGAINST MEMBERS OF CREW. DELHI, Jan. 3.*, There as a sensational sequel to the loss of the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company’s boat, Ngatsein, in tho Bayvtof Bengal, about 19tli December,. when fourteen members of the crew, appeared on a charge of murder of Captain Pennington and Chief Engineer Phillips, who was first reported drowned.
