Deaths totalled 1775 last year, a decrease of 53 over the figures for 1027. INCREASE IN DEATHS. WELLINGTON, Jan. 1. A marked increase in the deaths in the Wellington district as compared with 1927 is shown bv the figures for the year ended on Monday. Ther are increases also in the number < births and marriages.
