for the second day’s races there was cloudy weather till -1 p.m. when heavy rain set in and continued for over an hour. There was a good attendance, and good fields. Tinker, trainer and jockey, rider of the winner was suspended for one month for interference with Sleepy Sol during the running of the first race.
Sylvia Handicap.—(2) Gay Ballerina 1, (3) Tea Queen 2, (1) Eaglet 3. All started. Won by half a length; threequarters of a length. Time 1.16.
