KING’S HEALTH
THE POSITION DISCUSSED. (United Press Association. — Rv Electric Telegraph.—Copyright ) LONDON, December 20. It is authoritatively slated that the doctors are very much more hopeful regarding tlu> ultimate recovery, bill at present cannot have complete confidence, because the King is in such a weak condition, and exhaustion is so profound, that the possibility of a setbuck cannot entirely be ruled out. Ibe exhaustion, however, is much less than in the last few days and the King is in a much safer position, but has not yet reached the level of complete safety.
If the good progress continues for several days unchecked, absolute confidence will lie I fit. 'I be doctors are not yet in a position to say when that goal will be reached. Tn the meantime, anxiety continues, but is considerably less acute than it was. The Palace atmosphere is much .more hopeful tonight. There were seven doctors at the Palace to-night, including the ray specialists. It is understood the object of the second visit was to continue the discussion on the future line of treatment. At present it is not known what decision was taken. It is also not known how long ray tlieraph.v treatment will proceed. The Prince of Wales was in consultation with the doctors. Dr Hewett is again staying the night. A RESTFUL NIGHT. LONDON, December 21. A bulletin at 11.30 a.in. states the King had a restful night. There is no appreciable change to be noted. (Sgd.)
