N.Z. MOTH PLANE DAMAGED
WINGS STRIKE FENCE.

NEW PLYAIOUTH, Dec. 20
Damage to one wing was sullc/ed |,y Mr Douglas Mills’ moth aeroplane, .vhen it landed at Bellblock Aeiouiome this afternoon.
It is understood that the machine will be held up here until a new wing arrives from Melbourne.
On arrival from Auckland, en route to Hastings. Air Mill taxied too far across the grounds and struck a gorse hedge with one wing, while the other swung round and struck a tonce post. Noitlicr Air A!ill nor the mechanic. Air Smith, was injured. Ihe machine was wheeled a mile down the road and housed in a shed.
DOMINION GRAIN STATISTICS
WELLINGTON, Dec. 20
Details of the census of stocks of flour, wheat and oats in the Dominion as at mil. November, 1928, are published in a gazette to-night. Flour stocks total 11,357 tons, wheal 5.722.734 bushels, and oats 1,508,009 bushels.
