IN A MOTOR, SMASH.

LONDON, Dec. 20

With her best jewels worth about sixty thousand sterling, including a diamond tiara, and three perfect strings of pearls, Lady Glauely left Newmarket in a motor to join her husband, a racehorse owner of Bath. The car skidded at Royston, Hertfordshire. in an attempt to avoid *i cyclist and overturned, catching fire. Lady Glancly ,tlm chalfeur and maid were rescued with difficulty, the jowels remaining in tho car. The petrol exploded, and some ortho scattered jewels were recovered, otherwise they were almost a total loss. The cyclist received a fractured skull and leg and is in a critical condition.
