GHOST IN MANOR
CLAIM BY ACTRESS, VISCOUNTESS GREY’S SPIRIT. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, December 16. The spirit of Viscountess Grey, according to the family, appeared at "NVilsford Manor, Salisbury, which was bequeathed, together with £90,000, to her son, tho Hon. David Tennant (who is a British Broadcasting Corporation announcer, and who is still keeping his job). On the Viscountess’s death last month, Miss Hermione Baddeley, the actress, who recently was married to Mr Tennant, declares that she was awakened at mid-night by an uncanny feeling that there was someone in the room. She heard .footsteps most distinctly. It was so dark that she could not see, but she was certain someone was walking and then kneeling in the room, which was one which the countess Ifrequently used. Lights revealed nothing. She has not been to Wilsford since. Lady Grey had during her life claimed spirit communications with those departed.
