BANK MANAGER
HONOURED BY STAFF. (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Dec. 19. A large gathering of officers of the Bank- of New Zealand from all parts of the Dominion assembled at the Board room yesterday, when iVIr ißuckleton, general manager, who attained his fiftieth year of service with the Bank on Saturday, was presented with a portrait in oils painted by A. Nicoll, and a- pearl tie pin. Mrs Bueklcton, who was present, was presented with a toilet set and (brushes in enamel. Testimony was borne to Air Bucklelon’s ability and high sense of duty. A replica of the portrait is to hang in the Board room. In the course of his reply, Mr Bueklcton said the Board and the Executive were only too glad to give the officers every opportunity of qualifying for high positions. He stressed the importance of the technical training of bank oiliecrs.
