The wool came forward in fairly good order, hut as the result of unfavourable weather e.\pei'ieneed during the spring, the standards of selection was not up to llml the first sale last year. A number of the clips were bright and well round, hut hogget wool generally showed signs of tenderness in many ca.-es. Valuations tended a fraction more than buyers were prepared to offer, hut nevertheless about !K) per cent of the total offering was cleared. Continent and Bradford were the principal operators and bidding was fairly keen. Dominion mills purchased most of the top lots., showing a preference for good half-brods.
