A SOUTH SEA ISLAND STORY
The South Sou Islands arc a favorite locale for writers since .Hubert Louis Stevenson made them famous in fiction. Picture producers have not failed to utilize the land beneath the Southern Cross sis a scene for stories with a romantic trend. And yet they seem an inexhausihle mine of new ideas. The latest “-No Place To Co/' a First National Picture. However, it starts in New York, with a fine glimpse of the night life in circles of the socially elect. Thence by yacht to tropic 'sles, an adventuro with supposed cannibals and all the fun and thrills that could lie desired, with lots of spirited lovemaking for good measure. Mary Aster is delightful in the role of a flapper—something of a departure for her; Lloyd Hughes as her husband-to-be is agreeable as always. Hallam Cooley, Virginia Lee Corbin, Myrtle Stedman, Jed Prouty, Henry Barrows, Yola d’Avril and Loretta Young are all in the cast. The picture was directed by Mervyn Le Bov ns his firstdireotoral venture. He proves that ho has all the essentials that go to make a first-class wielder of the megaphone. The story is breezy, it covers a wide hold and is ultra-modern, it is sheer entertainment and as such fills every requirement. The usual supports wil. 1 also he shown to-night.
