When Auckland fish retailers visited the markets this morning they huiial all supplies being sorted into buckets which they wen l ottered at. Pcs. Previously they have picked out their own requirements, and purchased the fish at per lb. Dealers refused to accent, the new method .and in Id an emergency mooting at which l.lay decided to sel up a committee to make inquiries in regard to future supplies, and .negotiate with t lie fishermen.
One retailer said they intended to see Ibe mailer out 1.0 I lie biller cud, which might mean having to arrange for trawling on a big scale. The Distributors refuse to comment.
