Eat cuttle---There was a large yarding. and the quality was good. Southland and West Coast were represented. Primes wore easier by 30s to 10s per head. Steers sold: Heavy £l7 to £2l 7s (id, prime £l6 to £lB 7s Gd, handy £1.5 15s to £l7 15s, medium CIO 5s to £H IDs, light £lO to £l2 IDs. Cows .sold : Heavy £l3 5s to £ls 1/s (Id, prime CD IDs to £l2 15s, medium £8 5s to CD ss, light £6 5s to £7 ss. Heifers sold: Heavy £l4 5s to £ls 15s. prime £l2 IDs to £LT 15s. medium CD IDs to £ll pis. others £7 IDs to £8 15s. Kat sheep—-There was a smaller yard, ing than at the previous market. The prices were a shade better at the beginning of the sale, hut most were sold at last week’s parity. Extra heavy wethers sold up to 37 s Id. prime heavy tils to 3Gs. medium Hls to 335. light iroin 27s (id. Extra heavy ewes fetched 33s Kid, prime heavy 27s to 295, medium 28 Gd to 2(is, light from 18s. Store sheep—'there was a small entry, chiefly of dry sheep. It was a sound sale. Ewes and lambs sold from I (is to 21s Gd. G tooth dry ewes 32s Gd. others ISs Gd. to 2Ds, 2-tooth wethers 23s to 25s Gd. Lambs —The entry was D 25. Thcvc ' was keen competition, tlio exporters buying freely. Extra prime sold to ;>(is Gd. prime 31s Gd to 23s Gd, medium 28s (id to 30s -Id. light 25s Gd to 28s. j Eat pigs—There was a large yarding both of pork and bacon. The market was easier.
