'l’lie Committee which inquired into tin* allegations that the strength of the foundations of the permanent administrative building were seriously affected because less cement was used in construction than specified, reported that the foundations were amply strong for the purpose off carrying the building. They found, however that a weak mixture of cement had been used. TYPHOID RACING. GERMS IN AY ATE R SUPPLY. BRISBANE, Dec. 11. Typhoid is still raging in the C'loncurry district. Edward Dood, aged 19, died, and several others arc in a low condition. The Government bacteriologist examined the water supply and found germs in a well from which the town gets its supply. The townspeople are indignant at Government not sending medical and nursing relief.
