The death took place at Greymouth mouth last evening of Mr Sammuel Groom, a well known butcher of Greymouth. A native o!f West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England, deceased, who was 53 years of age, came with his parents to New Zealand when twelve years old, and in 1906 with his brothers Robert and Thomas, inaugurated a well-known butchery business in Tainui Street with which he had been ever since associated. He was unmarried, and is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs S. Groom, of Paroa ; by three brothers, Robert and Thomas (of Greymouth), and George (of Runanga), and by two sisters, Mrs Alfred Gilbert (Paroa) and. Mrs William Wick (Runanga).
