The English tennis players fared badly in the quarter finals of the M<torian championships, Gregory being tlio only player not eliminated. Hopman beat the English champion, Austen G—o, 2—o, 6—4. while Collins and Higgs were defeated by Schlesinger and Crawford respectively. Gregory beat Willard in straight sets. The Fneim imen lost' all the doubles matches.
