Mr 11. fO. L. Porter, the well-known member of the Alpine Club, London, has heeil a visitor to the Hermitage during the past week'. Paring a visit two years ago Air Porter and All ALurel Kura, the noted Swiss alpinist and author, climbed Afalte Rrun and tiaversed Aft. Cook from the Tasman to |he I fooker, as well as making the first traverse from south to north of Mf .Tasman.
