I he Aides, the last of six destroyers ordered by the Chilean Government lt'oin I liornycroft's the well-known s.upbiiiliiers, was launched at Southampton Water vc.sterdav.
At a .subsequent luncheon Admiral Merino of the Chilean Naval Commission. whose wife named the vessel, paid a high tribute to British workmanship a.s exanipled in the manner in which the contract had been carried out. I'he first of the six destroyers, the Serrano, is now almost ready to proceed to Chili and her officers and crew were present at yesterday's launching. A telegram of good wishes was received from the officers and crew ol another of the six destroyers, the Riquelme. which is now undergoing -rials on the Clyde.
