.MONDAY, DEC. 3rd. The Committee met at 7 p.m. Present: Messrs A. -(J. Armstrong (chairman), W. 11. Shannon, 11. R. Sweney, W. E. Richards. >J. Conning (Hon. See.), and Mesdames J. 11. Wilson and G. From Canterbury- Education Board, authorising the painting of the roof of the school, foreman to attend to; also repairs to teachers’ residence fences vc re authorised. The Rector (Mr E. Partridge) reported the attendance in the primary division averaged 294 and roll mmiOcr 305); secondary 88 out of roll number of 92. Most of the examinations had been held or were in progress; the term examinations were also iu progress. The pro-

ZNIr Partridge being banked for a donation of £1 Is Od towards the cost. Tt was resolved to arrange for the issue of a school prospectus for sending to intending pupils. A grant of £ld was made to the school arizes. The Chairman moved that application be made to the Education Board ixking that the sections fronting on iho school lie secured, and thereby imoroviug the front of the school. So::omIed by Mr .Shannon and carried, ft was also resolved to write to Messrs Wild and Bignell asking for their support. The Visiting Committee (Messrs Swcney and Richards) reported on necessary work required to the lawn; -nme blackberry growth required removal.—Received and attention proposal approved. Airs Perry and Air C'oul.smi were appointed visitors. Tlie Committee rose at 8 p.m.
