Lindrum, who conceded Inman a start of 2000 in a time limit match won easily by 660 points. He expressed himself satisfied with his form and victory and confident he would do better in subsequent games. The highest break was left to the final session, the Australian in the afternoon playing a brilliant game, chiefly at the top of the table for 460.
