DETECTIVES’ RAID
SEQUEL TO BOMB EXPLOSIONS

MELBOURNE, Nov. 30,
As an aftermath of the bomb explosions, detectives, fully armed, to-day raided wharf labourers’ homes. They discovered gelignite, pistols, bayonets, iron piping and pencilled drawings of I'on lbs, and arrested live men—'Ferry Dean, George Woolporl, Timothy Con- «’ l‘ I!, Joseph Donnell, and Hcrlxirt fsli. on charges of vasrrancy and being in the possession of goods believed to have been stolen. All the men were allowed hail.

After a bearing lasting several days, the Coroner committed A lister Clark. 2-1 years for trial in the Criminal Court, o tm charge of murdering his wife, Ella. 21 years of age, by arsenic, which was alleged tto have boon administered in chocolates while she was an inmate of the Coast Hospital.
Clark remarried a few days after her death.
FEDERAL ELECTIONS
ADELAIDE, Nov. 30
Tim Boolhby seat was won by tbe Labour candidate, Mr Brice, who obtained the narrow margin of 88 votes over the retiring member. Air Duncan Hughes (Nationalist).
