Clark, holder of the State title, having defeated F. Popplewell, open champion of Australia, by three, and two. he tried conclusions to-day with Don Spence, the young Leiira professional. Spence eventually won in great style by two up and one. The other semi-final was between Eyre and Arthur Spence. The latter won two up. The finals take place cn Saturday.
