An eclipse of the moon takes place this (Tuesday) evening. The moon, full as it always is at the time of an eclipse, enters the penumbra at 6.2;> p.m. (summer time) and the umbra a--723 p.m. But as the moon does not rise until 7.22 p.m. the beginning of the eclipse will not he visible. However if the night is clear the whole of the total phase will he visible. This begins at '8.33 p.m. and lasts until 9.29 p.m. the lunar orb thus being obscured for nearly an hour. The eclipse will not be finally over until 11.37 p.m.
