IN NURSE’S HOME

AUCKLAND, Nov. 20. hi An inquest concerning the death of 'Freda Helen ..Clark, Aged. 29,. Ah'o dicd at the home of Nurse Georgina Oonett, on Nov. Ist. was continued to-day. Mrs Doris Dannefeard, sister of deceased, declined to admit that certain correspondence produced was in her hand writing. She also declined to answer other questions on the ground that she might incriminate herself.

! Mrs Doris Bauer said she knew of Mrs Dannefeard, but refused to admit having closed' acquaintance, on the ground it might incriminate her. Percy Seymour George Sowerby, farmer of Morrinsyillc, admitted that he knew Miss Clark, hut declined to answer how long or whether he knew Miss Clark was dead. He admitted lie was married, but declined to answer a question concerning his relationship with deceased.

Georgina Clonett declined to answer whether she knew deceased or whether deceased had died in her house. The Coroner, Mr Hunt, at one stage said to one of the witnesses: “I don’t intend to sit here and let the inquest be bluffed out this way. You answer the question or I will commit you.” At the, conclusion he said the position was unsatisfactory and lie did not return a verdict, adjourning the inquest- sine die, so that further investigation Plight'be made.
