The Emperor, Empress, Princess and Premier left Kioto to-day, remaining in Nagoya overnight for a ceremonial return to Tokio to-morrow. The capital is elaborately prepared to welcome the enthroned ruler.

The “ Morning Post’s ” Berlin corespondent states that Herr Stresemahn, speaking to tlie People’s Party, strongly objected to the suggestion that the Socialists shahid shoulder the sole responsibility of Government, because they were victorious at the elections. If the bourgeois parties refused to co-operate they were to blame if the Communists were strengthened. The bourgeois parties should foster the moderate elements of Socialism, which were ready to co-operate with the People’s Party. This would be a marriage of“e.ason. ,
