In acknowledging the tribute. Pro lessor Hewitson said he had long hd that the work for training men for tin ministry was the most important in the Church.
It was agreed to change the title o‘ the committee from Theological ( ol lege to Theological Hall Committee. II was decided to establish a nc\' office of Principal oi the Theological Hall, with live years’ tenure of office, and allowance for travelling expenses. An adjournment was. taken before a proposal to appoint, the Rev Professor Dickie as the first principal was considered.
The Youth of the Church report was presented to a. crowded gathering in the evening h.v the Rev A. B. Kifrny. Oanmrii. Air John Mann was ordained iis a minister and set apart lor Maori mission work.
