New South Wales, the home team is leading by two rubbers, seven sets, 1G games, to two rubbers, five sets, forty-eight games. Higgs beat Kalms 2-G, 6-4, G-2; Austin beat Hopman 6-3, 6-2. Crawford and Hopman beat Higgs and Collins 6-3, G-2, G-2; Kalms and Willard beat Gregory and Austin 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2. Crawford payed a fine game, while for England Gregory was outstanding.
