The usual monthly service will be held at the Woodstock Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o’clock.

The m.s. Zingara arrived 'from Wellington this morning, reaching the wharf at 10 o’clock, several hours after high tide. The vessel brought 40 tons of inward cargo and after unloading commenced putting aboard a cargo of sawn timber for Wellington. The Zingara is expected to sail to-morrow evening about 8 o’clock.

Ono of the oldest residents of the Inangahua District passed away yesterday in the person of Mr Jeremiah Casey, aged 84 years. The late Mr Casey was a native of Ireland. For many years he was employed on Air W. O’Grady’s farm at Waitahu. Latterly he had been an inmate of the Inangahua Hospital, where he passed away after a brief illness.
