Ono of the oldest residents of the Inangahua District passed away yesterday in the person of Mr Jeremiah Casey, aged 84 years. The late Mr Casey was a native of Ireland. For many years he was employed on Air W. O’Grady’s farm at Waitahu. Latterly he had been an inmate of the Inangahua Hospital, where he passed away after a brief illness.
