Westminister, when Mrs Hinchcliffe made her first appearance under the spiritualist auspices of the TV. T. Stead Library, and spoke of her husband’s disappearance. The further I Imy went the worse the storm became, and at midnight they knew it was impossible* to reach America. 1 hey deliberately changed the course to the Leeward Islands and wont southwards till three o’clock, when they were tossed in a terrible whirlwind and forced into tin* sea within sight of the Azores. In a later message, HinchclifFe said that by the “ Leeward Islands.” lie meant the Azores; in: trying to reach which they went four hundred to five hundred miles out o'l their course. Airs 11 iuclieliffe added That she had received a letter from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, io the efleet that liin-h clifre had sept him a message, t'-aiA ing him for interesting his wife in spiritualism. She did not mention Miss Mack ay but on the closing lecture, said she could give further messages relating to lhe.so things. “ ! am sorry to say ' was asked this morning to refrain Irondoing so.”
