ESCAPEE CAPTURED,

MELBOURNE, Nov. 20,
Four shots were fired at a prisoner, J. Brailey, when attempting to escape from Pentridge gaol. He was captured after an exciting chase. Tho prisoner cut through the bars of his window with a hack saw which was secreted in the cell. AA T arders heard a noise and the alarm was raised.
Another prisoner, Leonard Cowley tried to climb a wall and was nearing the top when he fell and broke a bone in his foot.
DROWNING FEARED,
MELBOURNE, Nov. 20
Four men, Thurley, A. Thompson, W. Richards, and R. AVaddleton who left Rosebud in a fishing boat on Sunday morning have not been since seen. It is feared they are drowned. Three aeroplanes left Point Cook to search for the boat without success.
