In the Commons, Lord Wolner (Under-Secretary for the Post Office) stated the total capital cost of the four beam transmission stations erected respectively ifor Australian, Canadian. Indian mid South African wireless services. was approximately C 242.000. The word ages for the various wireless beams were as follows (all thousands): During the first week alter installation:—Australian, lilty-three; Canada, fifty-nine, India ILL South Africa 88.
For the week ended 21st April, they were:—Australia 179. Canada 133, India 212, South Africa 181.
For the week ended 11th Novembei they were :—A list ralia 191, Canada 118, India 253, Soufli Alriea 290.
The figures if or the first complete year’s working were: —-Australia 7.10(1. Canada 465)1, India 10,078, South Africa 83,76.
Sir Cunliffe Lister negatively answered Mr Bel lairs question whether lie was aware all parties desired to prevent competition from and the consumption of sweated goods and whether lie would obtain a report on hours and health conditions in Levant dried fruit trade.
