TENNIS
On Saturday last, the first tennis match of the season took place when the All Saints travelled to Kokatahi to try conclusions with the local team which emerged victorious by 14 sets to ]() sets and by the narrow margin of 111 games to 109 games. As the scores indicate, the games generally were very close and iein keenly contested. During the afternoon the Kokatahi ladies supplied an abundance of good things to appease the appetites of the visitors, who were delighted with the meticulous arrangements made for their enjoyment. The climatic conditions were perfect and games were played continuously from 2 p.m. to 7.40 p.m. The following are the individual scores, Kokatahi players being mentioned first:— Ladies’ Singles.—Miss Higgins 6 v.
