Half a million were crammed in Hyde Park and the adjacent streets. It was an extraordinary spectacle of piety. The zeal ol the clergy was most edifying. Kneeling women wept with emotion and Catholic and Protestant alikq felt that they owned the one Cod. and prostrated themselves in allegiance.
The Pong expressed the deepest satisfaction. He said that bis beloved Australian children had given him one of the greatest joys of the year.
