(Received this day at 11.25. a.m.) SYDNEY, November 19.
The election position remains undecided in several seats, though tbe .Ministry is assured of a working majority.
The “ Herald ” places the present state of (he parties as follows:—Nationalists 28, Country Party 11, Progressive Country Party I, Labour 28. doubtful 7.
Labour appears certain to carry the Senate seats in New South Wales. South Australia, and possibly Victoria, The votes counted thus far total 2,202,105, of which Labour received 1.157.(588, and Nationalist 1.07 1,4 IT*.
While Labour leaders regard tbe poll as disclosing the people are tired ol Air Bruce’s government, Nationalist •qiokesnien are reticent and are awaiting the final results, which will not lie known for a couple of days.
A LABOUR VIEW
LONDON. November 18
The “Daily Herald” states: “While Mr Bruce unfortunately has not been removed Labour should be able to curb the reactionary anti-Labour activities. It is heartening that comrades blown under’ are in a winning vein hut the mere winning of seats is insufficient. They must have a majority.
