The death took place at Westland Hospital yesterday morning of Air Thomas Al. Bennett, who for some time past had been caretaker at Newman’s Motors Ltd. garage. Oil Friday afternoon. George Dicky, a young man, who resides in Alayfield avenue. Christchurch, had a narrow escape from being killed. lie was crossing the railway yard at Lyttelton when he was pushed over by a B waggon.
