The buildilie was to liave been use'! to-day as a polling booth. SURPRISES FROM CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, Xov. 14. 'l’lie weather is line for polling day and voting has been steady all the morning showing every indication of a record poll, particularly in Christchurch North, where there is a keen three-cornered contest. Some surprises are expected. POLLING DAY IX AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, November 14. There is beautiful wsalher for the polling. A record vote is expected. There is very keen interest in East Lynn, Grey Lynn, and Suburbs, all of which are expected to be close contests. ELECTION DAY IN DUNEDIN. DUNEDIN, Nov. 14. Election day commenced in dull weather with a steady flow to the bombs from their opening and there is every indication of a big poll. Rain set in at noon and may affect the poll. POLLING AT MASTER-TON. ' MASTKRTOX, Nov. 14. The weather is fine but overcast for the election. The liquor question is overshadowing that of the member. A very heavy poll fs expected.
