Fletcher Telford, Medical Officer of Health, yesterday supplied the following figures in connection with last week’s notification in Cantoibury : ]—lo years 2o 10—15 years , 15—20 years 1 20—25 years 1 25—30 years - Over 30 years 1 Forty-six cases were reported during the week ended noon yesterday in tlio Canterbury-West la ml Health District, as against forty-nine in the previous week. Last week’s notifications were made up as lollows. Metropolitan area 29 (21 of which were in Christchurch City), Timaru 7. Waimate 1. Killinchy 1. Leeston 1, Oxford 2, Rangiora 1, Westland 4; total 46. Dr Telford points out that the epidemic is not confined to Canteibuij. Many cases are reported from other parts of the Dominion. It was in 1916 that the last serious 'outbreak occurred in New Zealand.
