FOG IX KXGLAND CAFSE COASTAL MISHAPS'. IU’GBY. Xov. 7. Practically the whole of England was enveloped in log yesterday, and traffic on the roads and railways was much impeded in southern England. The fog lifted last night, hut in the London area it recurred this morning, although it was less dense than yesterday. and, owing to a slight wind, it .seemed unlikely to persist throughout tiie day. Despite precautions one or two minor mishaps occurred round the roasts. Shipping was held up, and during the dense fog off the Fast Coast a Lowestoft <1 river collided with a vessel, some of the crew of the former having a narrow escape. The drifter was aided into port by other boats which came to her assistance.
