Wilkins wirelessed from Deception Island on November 10th, via Port Stanley, signed Wilkins: “Our American monoplane, Los Angeles, with which Eielson flew over tlie North Pole was to-day the first complete aeroplane to touch Antarctic soil on Deception Island. The lleiktoria, upholding her name, entered the harbour on sixth and anchored and was then moored to the beach with six seven inch hawsers, preparing to withstand customary November storms, but so far fine weather prevails, enabling everyone from captain to mess hoy and the expeditioners to busy themselves during every wakening hours.”
