MELBOURNE, Nov. 12

The Prime Minister Air Bruce, has completed a whirlwind tour of Australia. He says he is confident that the present Government will be returned with a substantial majority. He says Labour must win thirteen seats to unseat his Government, which he opines is a hopeless task, especially in view of recent industrial turmoil. CANBERRA, Nov. 13.

The number of voters oil the Federal rolls for the election on Saturday total 3,467.666. Women number 1,730,629 or 3,603 more than men. Only three States, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania show an excess of women.

SENATE CANDIDATE DIES. MELBOURNE, Nov. 13

Major-General Forsyth, one of the Nationalist candidates for the Senate, died last evening, after a brief illness, from pneumonia following influenza. He was aged 61 years. A difficulty arises in connection with the election papers, on which his name is printed. Instructions will ho given the returning officers to delete it. As only two Government candidates remain for three vacant seats, Labour is assured of one.
